BBG South over the years has taken multiple delegations into the UK as well as to other BBGs across India and in UAE. The next one is being planned in late 2023/early 2024 (more details to follow)
Details of past delegations
We took the first delegation into UK, towards end of June 2013 and with 13 members participating at an opening seminar at UKTI, London. Breakout teams went to Bristol / Belfast and Basildon. Outcome was 2 or 3 delegations planned to come to India along with 4 proposals being worked and individual members getting business done.
In Nov (29th-30th) 2013, a Visit to Goa happened with a 4 member delegation. It included visiting two incubation centres based in Goa the Centre for Innovation and Business Acceleration (CIBA) and Goa IT Innovation Centre (GITIC) and give the entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their projects. A meeting with BBG Goa members along with a meeting with Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
A 8 member delegation was taken to Dubai in January (25th to 28th) 2014 with members from BBG South (including Chennai & Bangalore) as well as BBG Goa. David Burns, Deputy Chairman & COO of BBG Dubai hosted the delegation and we had a joint meeting with the Dubai Chamber in a formal meeting with their Senior Director, Atiq Juma Faraj Nasib and Madhi Al Mazim, Director – Member Relations. The BBG Dubai Committee hosted the delegates over drinks at Rodent’s Return, the club at the British Embassy, where we met Focus group Heads, UKTI’s Ian Gibbons and Karen Williams amongst others including Joe Hepworth, the newly appointed CEO of Brit Biz Centre UAE. On 28th January, the delegation attended the BBG Dubai monthly breakfast meeting at Al Murooj Rotana and networked with 60 members and the Chairman Jonathan Davidson.
A delegation was taken to UK in Mar 2015, in association with the Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The 36 member delegation was in London from 16th to 19th March 15 with multiple outcomes for individual member companies
The next delegation to UK was in Jun 2016 (13th to 30th) to the International Festival of Business with BBG South taking 15 member companies to Liverpool presenting Showcase South India – circa 30,000 visitors attended the event.

Smaller delegations were also taken to Pune in Nov 2014 & Feb 2015; Kolkata in May 2014, July 2016 & March 2017 and to Goa in Jan 2017
